On Wednesday, UT freshman Haley Berg will lead Texas into the Big 12’s tournament. On Monday, she led the Longhorns onto the Big 12’s honor roll.

Berg has been named the Big 12’s freshman of the year, the conference announced on Monday. Berg was also a second-team addition to the Big 12’s all-conference team, and she was the only Longhorn that made the all-freshman squad. This season, Berg ranked second at UT in goals (five) and points (12).
