Texas softball team loses for first time this fall

The Texas softball team dropped to 6-1 during the fall season as they fell in a close one to the Scrap Yard Dawgs Texas Pros 2-0 on Friday at McCombs Field.

Brooke Bolinger started for the Longhorns as eight total pitchers combined to allow eight hits. Bolinger allowed one hit and struck out two in two innings.

Former Longhorn Brejae Washington drove in both runs for the Scrap Yard Dawgs Texas Pros. Her first RBI came in the fifth inning and she added the insurance run in the seventh.


Lauren Haeger, Brittany Mack-Oakes and Lisa Norris combined for the shutout against Texas.

The Longhorns close out the fall season with a contest against Tyler Junior College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
