Texas softball wins fall ball finale

The Texas softball team concluded its fall season with a 7-2 win over Tyler Junior College at McCombs Field on Saturday. Texas finishes with a 7-1 record during the fall season.

Bekah Alcozer hit a grand slam in Saturday’s win to lead Texas. Taylor Ellsworth drove in two runs for the Horns.

Erica Wright started the game and five Texas pitchers saw some work. Wright struck out five and gave up one hit in two innings.

Chloe Romero and Brooke Bolinger each struck out two batters. Romero allowed on unearned run in one inning. Bolinger didn’t give up a hit.

Paige von Sprecken and Ariana Adams each pitched a scoreless inning for Texas. Von Sprecken added an RBI from the plate.
