Bromberg takes platform title at UT Diving Invitational

Murphy Bromberg won the women’s platform diving competition at the UT Diving Invitational at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center on Saturday.

Bromberg led wire-to-wire on the way to scoring 356.05 points. With the win, the women swept the three diving events over the three-day competition. Meghan O’Brien won the 3-meter and 1-meter titles for Texas.

On the men’s side, Jordan Windle couldn’t make it a clean sweep of the three diving events. He finished third in the platform competition.


Windle scored 384.70 points as Zach Cooper of Miami took the win with 459.65 points. David Dinsmore took second place for Miami with 444.10 points.

Windle won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events in the first two days of competition before making way for the Hurricanes.

Jacob Cornish finished fourth for Texas with 370.45 points.
