Longhorns finish 15th in coaches soccer poll for 2017

Texas finished ranked No. 15 in the final United States Soccer Coaches poll for the 2017 season. The Longhorns ended the year with a 14-4-3 record.

Texas reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and had its best start in school history, winning the first 11 games of the season. The Longhorns also tied the school record for shutouts with 11.

National champion Stanford topped the poll with national runner-up UCLA, Duke, South Carolina and Penn State rounding out the top five.


West Virginia (10th) and Baylor (11th) were the only other Big 12 teams ranked in the final poll.
