Katie Glenn, a junior midfielder, was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I women’s scholar All-America third team, the organization announced Thursday.

Glenn recorded a 3.4 GPA while scoring five goals and amassing 13 points for the Longhorns. She also earned a spot on the All-Big 12 first team and the academic All-Big 12 first team.

Glenn is the seventh Longhorn to earn the scholar All-America honor. Earlier this week the junior earned first-team status for the scholar All-West region.

The Round Rock native started all 21 games for the Longhorns and played in 1,714 minutes. She scored three match-winning goals and earned the title of Big 12 offensive player of the week on Sept. 12. Glenn scored two goals and assisted on another in the previous week.

The scholar All-American team will gather for a formal acknowledgement at the All-America luncheon on Jan. 20 in Philadelphia, Pa.
