Caleb Johnson was one of two JUCO defenders to sign with Texas during the early signing period. The 6-1, 215-pound product of Fullerton College was the No. 3-ranked outside linebacker from the JUCO ranks and hopes to make an immediate impact by enrolling this week.

Texas has signed 22 players and holds a 2019 class ranking ninth in the nation. Only four-star offensive lineman Javonne Shepherd elected to wait until national signing day in February. The Longhorns hope to add three or four commitments before moving their complete attention to the 2020 and 2021 classes.

Let’s get to know Johnson better before he embarks on his career in Austin in this Commitment Q&A.
