The Dotted Line: Seven future Longhorns remain in Texas high school football playoffs

Four of the 17 Texas commitments in the 2020 class are still alive in the Texas high school playoffs. That’s assuming Lake Travis quarterback Hudson Card is back and healthy for the Class 6A Division I Region IV championship game against Converse Judson on Saturday in San Antonio. The healthy pledges went 3-1 last week with only Highland Park’s Prince Dorbah falling. Card hasn’t played since the regular season.

Duncanville vs. Southlake Carroll, Friday, 2:30 p.m. (McKinney ISD Stadium, McKinney)
Hudson Card, quarterback, Lake Travis
Lake Travis vs. Converse Judson, Saturday, 4 p.m. (Alamodome, San Antonio)
2021 pledges
Texas’ 2021 commitments also went 3-1 in the area round. Six of the seven pledges made the state playoffs, while Lake Travis tight end Lake McRee is out with an injury. The three remaining prospects play Saturday.
