The Texas softball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 9-4 victory over Weber State on Sunday in the Texas Invitational at McCombs Field.

The Wildcats closed it to 8-4 with four singles in the fifth.
Iakopo drove in Texas’ final run with a single in the sixth.
Sophomore Shea O’Leary was in the circle for the victory, improving her record to 3-0. Freshman Courtney Day finished with two innings of one-hit shutout ball. Both pitchers had two strikeouts and no walks.
