What he brings to Texas’ table: The athlete from Carthage is the younger brother of Texas running back Keaontay Ingram. Dixon is expected to play slot receiver for the Longhorns. The 6-0, 180-pound prospect is the 15th-ranked athlete in the nation, per 247Sports composite rankings.

Dixon helped Carthage win a Class 4A Division I state championship as a senior, catching 73 passes for 1,223 yards and 20 touchdowns. He caught 84 passes for 1,288 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior.  The two-time all-district football player was also a Class 4A state finalist in the triple jump and the 100 meters.

Dixon is an athlete. He finished second in the Class 4A triple jump in 2019 and sixth in the 100-meter dash at the same meet. His sophomore season ended early with an ankle injury, but he became Carthage’s go-to wide receiver and offensive weapon following the graduation of his brother, Keaontay. Dixon projects to the slot position with a chance to contribute in the return game.

What he said: “The reason I chose Texas was because of the way they made me feel like I was at home,” Dixon said. “My brother played a huge factor in helping me with my choices.”
