These are the six Indiana venues the NCAA will use for March Madness 2021

The entire 2021 NCAA tournament is coming to Central Indiana.

Holding the tournament in one centralized location, the NCAA hopes, will make the logistics of doing so safely and smoothly more manageable. 

These are the six venues that will host games for the 2021 men's basketball tournament.

Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis)

Flashes went off as the Duke Blue Devils and the Butler Bulldogs tipped off in the NCAA Final Four Division I Men's Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on April 5, 2010.  Will the Final Four set for Indy in 2021 go off as scheduled?

Who plays there: Indianapolis Colts, Indy Eleven

Capacity: 70,000

Opened: In 2008

NCAA tournament history: Lucas Oil hosted the 2010 and 2015 Final Fours. The 2010 event featured hometown darling and national Cinderella Butler, which came within inches of pulling off one of the greatest upset stories in sports. Instead, Gordon Hayward's last-second heave missed and Duke won the national title. Duke won again in 2015, but the main story was Wisconsin knocking off previously-unbeaten Kentucky in the national semifinal.

Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Indianapolis)

Hinkle Fieldhouse (Indianapolis)

Butler has not announced what seating capacity will be allowed for games at Hinkle Fieldhouse this season.

Who plays there: Butler Bulldogs

Capacity: 9,100

Opened: In 1928, renovated in 2014

NCAA tournament history: Then the largest college gym in the country, the Butler Fieldhouse hosted the 1940 East Regional, which featured Indiana. IU swept through Springfield and then Duquesne in the regional before beating Kansas in Kansas City for coach Branch McCracken's first national title with the Hoosiers.

Indiana Farmers Coliseum (Indianapolis)

Who plays there: Indiana Hoosiers

Capacity: 17,222

Opened: In 1971, renovated in 2016

NCAA tournament history: Assembly Hall hosted Mideast Regional first round games in 1977. Charlotte beat Central Michigan, 91-86, and Michigan defeated Holy Cross, 92-81, and hosted again in 1979, with first round games featuring Toledo beating Iowa, 74-72, and LSU beating Appalachian State, 71-57. 

In 1981, Assembly Hall was a springboard for Bob Knight's second-championship team. The third-seeded Hoosiers got home court advantage in the 1981 Mideast Regional semifinal and final. IU beat UAB, 87-72, behind 27 points from Isiah Thomas and 20 from Randy Wittman, and then blasted St. Joseph's, 78-46, to reach the Final Four.

Mackey Arena (West Lafayette)

Who plays there: Purdue Boilermakers

Capacity: 14,240

Opened: In 1967, renovated in 2011

NCAA tournament history: Purdue's last run to the Final Four got its start at home. The Boilermakers played its first two games of the 1980 NCAA tournament at Mackey, beating La Salle, 90-82, and St. John's, 87-72, before heading to Lexington, Ky. for the regional semifinal and final. In the two wins, Joe Barry Carroll averaged 34.5 points and 12.5 rebounds. Drake Morris (20.0) and Keith Edmondson (19.5) also shined on their homecourt.
