The seventh-ranked Longhorns swim team won 14 of 16 events on the way to defeating No. 14 Texas A&M 166.5-128.5 Thursday at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
The Longhorns took a 200-yard medley relay victory to open the meet. Tasija Karosas, Madisyn Cox, Brynne Wong and Rebecca Millard finished in 39.02 seconds, more than a second faster than the Aggies.
Cox won three other events, the 200 individual medley, the 200 breaststroke and the 200 freestyle. Joanna Evans won twice, in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle events. Millard also took two wins in the freestyle sprints.
Karosas won the 100 backstroke while Remedy Rule took the 200 butterfly event.
Alison Gibson and Meghan O’Brien won their diving events. Gibson scored 348.90 in the three-meter event while O’Brien recorded 306.60 in the one-meter competition.
The Longhorns next face NC State Friday at 5 p.m. at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
