Texas women’s swimming team sits atop TYR Top-25 rankings

The Texas swimming and diving teams are both in the top 5 of the most recent TYR Top-25 rankings, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced Wednesday.

The women are ranked No. 1, jumping ahead of Stanford at the top of the rankings. The Texas men fell in a couple of dual meets over the weekend and now sit at No. 5. California is No. 1 with Indiana and Florida, the teams that beat Texas over the weekend, rounding out the top 3.

Most recently, the Texas women topped No. 6 Indiana and No. 19 Florida in a double dual meet over the weekend. Those victories extended the women’s winning streak to 15 dual meet wins in a row.


Stanford checks in at No. 2 with Michigan sitting third.

The men’s team takes on No. 12 Texas A&M while the women also face the Aggies, ranked No. 5, Friday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
