After totaling 26 runs in a doubleheader on Saturday, Texas kept scoring in an 11-run blowout at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The game was called after seven innings.

The score in Sunday’s showdown was never close as Texas had built a 5-0 lead by the end of the second inning. Masen Hibbeler went 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs, and designated hitter Zach Zubia drove in three runs. Ryan Reynolds also drove in three runs, and his sixth-inning home run was his second homer in as many days.

Texas head coach David Pierce was ejected by umpire Will Thornewell with one out in the fifth inning. Pierce was tossed while pulling pitcher Matteo Bocchi, who allowed two hits and a run in his first start with the Longhorns. Bocchi, a right-handed junior who spent the past two seasons at Odessa College, hails from Parma, Italy.
