Official Texas football Twitter account suspended on eve of National Signing Day

UPDATE: As of 9:45 a.m., the official account has been reinstated.

As of Tuesday morning, Texas football’s social media game has been halted.

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, the official Twitter account of the Texas football program has been suspended. Accounts can be suspended for myriad of reasons per Twitter.


Twitter states this on its website:

“Most of the accounts we suspend are suspended because they are spammy, or just plain fake, and they introduce security risks for Twitter and all of our users.”
