With Big 12 play heating up, Texas and TCU to tangle on a Fort Worth afternoon

Posted October 14th, 2019

The kickoff for Texas and TCU’s annual get-together has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 26, the Big 12 announced on Monday.

FOX will televise the eighth game of UT’s season. It will be played at TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Ranked 15th in the Associated Press’ national poll, Texas has won four of its six games this season. The Longhorns are 2-1 against their opponents from the Big 12. TCU boasts a 3-2 overall record and a 1-1 showing in conference play.

Texas will host Kansas this weekend while TCU has a trip to Kansas State on its schedule.

Texas owns a 63-25-1 advantage in its all-time series with TCU. The Longhorns, however, needed a 31-16 win last year to snap a four-game losing streak to the Horned Frogs. Texas last won in Fort Worth in 2013.
