First round of Big 12 Golf Championship canceled

The first round of the Big 12 Golf Championship was canceled due to rain at the Greenbrier on Friday in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

The tournament is set to begin Saturday, when the first two rounds will be played. The final round will be played Sunday as the competition is reduced to 54 holes.

Cole Hammer, Pierceson Coody, Steven Chervony, Parker Coody and Spencer Soosman are set to compete for Texas.


The No. 2-seeded Longhorns will tee off at 7 a.m. with Oklahoma State on Saturday.
