With a college football playoff for the top four teams still more than a year away, Texas men’s athletic director DeLoss Dodds made some news Thursday by saying that he favored a bigger tournament.
“It’s a baby step. It’s a good step,” Dodds told espn.com. “I’m kind of an eight-team person.”
Friday, on his television show, Dan Patrick quipped, “He should be asking for a 32-team playoff.”
