Roger Clemens’ son Kacy, a pitcher drafted in the 35th round by the Houston Astros last weekend, has opted to play for the Longhorns. Kacy Clemens signed with the Longhorns last fall.

“It was great to hear his name called and always an honor to be selected,” Roger Clemens said, according to the Houston Chronicle. “His sights will be set on the ‘The University’ to get his education and get the Horns back to Omaha!”

Kacy Clemens was 8-0 with a 1.09 ERA at Memorial High in Houston last season, according to the Chronicle. He was not ranked among the top 500 draft prospects by Baseball America.
