Ash to miss Oklahoma game
Posted October 5th, 2013
UPDATE at 1:20 p.m.: Evans will have season-ending surgery for a torn ACL.
Longhorn quarterback David Ash will miss the game against Oklahoma next week with lingering effects from a head injury, the team announced
Saturday.
Reserve cornerback Sheroid Evans will also miss the game, with a knee injury he suffered at Iowa State Thursday.
Ash suffered a concussion on Sept. 7 at Brigham Young. He missed the next game, against Mississippi, returned a week later against Kansas State, but only lasted a half. He did not play against Iowa State.
Senior Case McCoy will start against Oklahoma, with freshman Tyrone Swoopes in reserve. Swoopes has yet to appear in a game.
