Will TCU’s QB play against UT?

Posted October 21st, 2013

There’s mystery shrouding Texas’ next game.

Will TCU start Casey Pachall, the Horned Frogs quarterback who broke his left forearm in the second game of the season?

TCU coach Gary Patterson is keeping it a secret.

“Why would I tell Texas to get ready for Casey Pachall,” Patterson said Monday morning during the Big 12 coaches weekly teleconference.

Speculation coming out of Fort Worth is Pachall will play.

When Pachall first broke his arm, he was supposed to be out eight weeks. He’s now in week seven of that timetable.

Without Pachall, the Frogs have struggled mightily on offense. They’re 1-3 in Big 12 play. In their three losses, TCU has scored an average of 12.3 points per game. Trevone Boykin has been the starter. but he was benched, briefly, in the Frogs 24-10 loss last Saturday at Oklahoma State.
