Longhorns’ backup linebacker Tevin Jackson tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the Kansas game on Saturday and will miss the rest of the season, Texas announced late Monday night.
Jackson, a 6-foot, 2-inch, 238 junior from Garland, was the backup at strongside linebacker behind Peter Jinkens. He appeared in seven games this season and had a total of five tackles, two of them solos.
