Gray, Whaley done for the season

Posted November 10th, 2013

The Longhorns received awful news Sunday, losing starters Johnathan Gray and Chris Whaley to injuries that will require season-ending surgery.

Gray, a sophomore tailback, suffered an Achilles injury during the victory Saturday at West Virginia.

Whaley, a senior defensive tackle, suffered a knee injury in the same game.

Gray leads the Longhorns in rushing with 780 yards — 86.7 per game.

Whaley scored two touchdowns this season, returning a fumble and an interception.
