Longhorns football coach Mack Brown is in San Antonio this morning for a news conference to promote the Alamo Bowl along with Oregon coach Mark Helfrich.
Brown will be making his first public comments since Texas’ regular-season finale loss to Baylor.
Questions have been swirling about Brown in recent weeks.
On Tuesday, various Internet reports have said Brown will step down by the end of the week.
The American-Statesman reported Tuesday that Brown has had discussions with school officials about resigning, but that nothing has been finalized.
“There’s been no movement (Wednesday),” a high-ranking UT source told the American-Statesman.
Also Wednesday, Brown’s lawyer and UT benefactor Joe Jamail said all the reports that Brown will resign are wrong.
Statesman staff writer Brian Davis is at the press conference and will post updates to Twitter below.
