For those getting worked up over reports this morning that former Houston Cougars quarterback Bram Kohlhausen will walk on at Texas this fall, not so fast.
Kohlhausen, contacted by the American-Statesman, said the Los Angeles Daily News report today is not accurate.
“UT hasn’t given me a promise of any walk-on spot yet. We are in communication, but there hasn’t been any promise or anything,” Kohlhausen said. “We are talking, but there is no decision made by either side.”
Kohlhausen said the Daily News report used a quote from him that dated back to September.
“I woke up this morning with a lot of voicemails, and I’m calling everybody back to let them know that report is not very accurate.”
Kohlhausen was a three-star prospect coming out of Houston Lamar back in 2011 and signed with Houston. But he ended up transferring out of the Cougars program to Los Angeles Harbor College; his season there, however, lasted only three games after suffering a shoulder injury.
