Former Longhorn basketball player Sheldon McClellan will transfer to Miami, according to his coach at Bellaire High School in Houston, Bruce Glover.
McClellan averaged 13.5 points a game as a sophomore last season, leading the Longhorns in scoring until Myck Kabongo returned from a long NCAA suspension and paced the team at 14.6 the last 11 games.
But McClellan hit just 41.8 percent of his shots, including 29.6 on 3-pointers.
McClellan had a difficult relationship with coach Rick Barnes, who benched the shooting guard for long stretches of games for issues on defense and offense.
