Texas lands three-star DE Malcolm Roach

On Friday, Texas landed a commitment from three-star Baton Rouge defensive end Malcolm Roach.
Roach’s pledge brings Texas’ 2016 class to 10 members.
According to 247Sports’ composite ratings, Roach is the nation’s No. 27 strong side defensive end and the No. 31 prospect in Louisiana. He chose Texas over Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi State and Texas Tech.
Roach is the third player from Louisiana to join Charlie Strong’s second full recruiting class following DT Gerald Wilbon and TE Peyton Aucoin.
