Longhorns strike first; West Virginia answers
Posted November 14th, 2015
The Longhorns took a lead 3-0 after a Nick Rose field goal.
This marked the first time Texas led in a road game since the 28-7 victory over Oklahoma State last season. Under Charlie Strong, the Longhorns are 10-1 when scoring first. Leading up to the field goal, Texas had a Jerrod Heard touchdown called back on a holding call against freshmen offensive lineman Connor Williams.
Stop the game. Texas scores first. A 3-0 lead after a Heard TD run was called back.

And just like that, the #Horns lead in a true road game for the first time since last season's Oklahoma State game. #Hookem

Charlie Strong is working these refs. He is still upset about the Connor Williams holding call. This is Texas' bowl game. Can't lose today.

On the next offensive drive, Texas fumbled which led to a 42-yard touchdown by West Virginia to take a 7-3 lead.
D'Onta Foreman never had that ball. Right after a big pass play, Texas gives up the goods on a 42-yard fumble recovery for a TD. #hookem
