Texas Tech got its first score of the evening in the oddest way.
Longhorn defensive back Holton Hill was in position to intercept Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes. As Hill made the catch, he was popped by Red Raider receiver Devin Lauderdale, who we assume was the intended receiver. The pass was poorly thrown.
The ball popped up. Jakeem Grant caught the deflection and easily sprinted into the end zone. Wild.
This play seems to sum up Texas' season. Jakeem Grant with the ultimate concentration. https://t.co/aFmP7xXqX7
