No. 19 Texas men’s tennis tops Tulsa 4-2

UT’s Adrian Ortiz won a second-set tiebreaker to give Texas a 3-2 edge and Michael Riechmann came back from a first set loss to defeat Tulsa’s Dylan McCloskey 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and clinch a 4-2 victory over the Golden Hurricane on Saturday at Westwood Country Club.
No. 19 Texas (12-6) has won eight of its past nine matches and will play three more non-conference matches before opening the Big 12 season against Baylor on April 5th.
After losing the doubles point, Texas got singles win from Harrison Scott and Julian Zlobinsky to gain a 2-1 advantage. Scott defeated Juan Matias Gonzalez at second singles 6-0, 7-5 and Zlobinsky beat Francois Kellerman 6-4, 6-4.
Tulsa evened the match when Or Ram-Harel defeated George Goldhoff at first singles 6-4, 6-2.
