Texas Relays under second weather delay

For the second time on Friday, Texas Relays is under a weather delay.

The latest delay kicked in at about 11:50 a.m. and will last until at least 1 p.m. Prior to the delay, UT’s John Burt, a wide receiver on the Longhorns football team, advanced to the 110-meter hurdles finals in 14.06 seconds. He’ll be seeded fifth in Saturday’s final. Three Longhorns advanced in the 100 hurdles — Mobolaji Adeokun (second, 13.30); Ashley Miller (third, 13.40) and Ariel Jones (sixth, 13.48).

Thursday’s Day 2 was highlighted by Texas sophomore Ashtin Zamzow breaking the school record in the heptathlon on her very first try. Zamzow, a transfer from Texas A&M, finished fourth.
