UT’s Sophia Schubert ties for fourth at PING ASU Invitational

Texas’ Sophia Schubert tied for fourth place at 4 under par after shooting a 73 in the final round of the PING ASU Invitational on Sunday in Tempe, Arizona.
Schubert’s 1 over 73 was her only round over par at the tournament. She made 12 birdies in three rounds for a 212 and has finished in the top four three times this season.
UCLA’s Bronte Law won medalist honors at 12 under par followed by teammate Lilia Vu. The Bruins won the team title at 12 under par, six strokes ahead of host Arizona State. Sun Devil Linnea Strom was a stroke ahead of Schubert after carding a 1 under 71 on Sunday.
Texas finished in seventh place at 27 over par in a field that featured seven teams ranked in GolfStat’s top 17.
UT’s Natalie Karcher carded a 78 in the final round and tied for 36th place at 8 over par. Texas’ Julia Beck shot a 79 on Sunday and finished at 10 over par. Haley Mills followed a second round 81 with a 76 and tied for 66th place at 18 over.
