Former Texas signee Devonaire Clarington now enrolled at Blinn College

Posted April 28th, 2016

Tight end Devonaire Clarington signed with Texas in 2015 but never enrolled due to issues with his ACT scores. But the 6-foot-5 target promised we’d hear from him again someday.

Clarington announced on Thursday that he’s indeed back in Texas and enrolling at Blinn College in Bryan.

“It’s official BLINN college,” Clarington tweeted. “I can’t stay away from Texas lol.”

Clarington’s initial ACT test score was flagged by the NCAA Clearinghouse for review. He was ultimately forced to retake the exam last August. At that point, it became clear Clarington would not join the Longhorns.

“God has a plan for me I know it,” Clarington tweeted last summer. “Don’t worry everyone I will be alright.”
