Where it went wrong: OSU scored three runs over four sixth-inning at-bats. They came on a single by Donnie Walton, a sacrifice fly by Ryan Sluder, and a single by Andrew Rosa that ricocheted off the leg of Texas starter Ty Culbreth. Mixed in was a dropped fly ball by right fielder Patrick Mathis.

The starter: Ty Culbreth lasted 5 2/3 innings, breaking his streak of nine straight games of six innings or more. The Big 12’s wins leader gave up five runs (two earned) on seven hits.
