Didn’t get drafted? Neither did these ex-Longhorns and current NFL players

Hassan Ridgeway was drafted over the weekend by the Indianapolis Colts, becoming just the third Longhorn since the Colts left Baltimore to head to the Hoosier state.

But many more Longhorns had to wait until Saturday night to find a team, signing as undrafted free agents.

On Monday, Texas’ official Twitter account reminded Longhorn fans there are a handful of past undrafted free agents hailing from Texas on NFL rosters.


One player the Longhorns left off the list, because as of right now he’s not an active roster, is Lyle Sendlein. Last year’s starting center for the Arizona Cardinals left the team as a free agent and has yet sign with a team. Sendlein was an undrafted free agent in 2007 and has been with the Cardinals ever since.
