Where it went wrong: With the tying runner on third, Tres Barrera swung at a ball outside of the zone to end the eighth. In a similar situation in the sixth, Barrera came through with Texas’ only RBI of the game.

The starter: Morgan Cooper went six innings and gave up two unearned runs in the fifth inning. However, Cooper had a hand in the runs. After hitting the leadoff batter, he threw wildly to first on a sac bunt. Those two runners came around to score.

Top hitter: Jake McKenzie, 2-3, 2B.
