Former Texas CB Bryson Echols transferring to Arizona State
Posted May 20th, 2016
Former Texas cornerback Bryson Echols posted on Twitter he is transferring to Arizona State.
His announcement comes three months after Echools said he planned to go elsewhere for his final year of eligibility. Echols is the fourth UT graduate to leave the program this offseason following Dalton Santos (Louisiana Tech), Jake Raulerson (UCLA) and Adrian Colbert (Miami). All of them will be eligible to play this fall.
At ASU, Echols will reunite with former Longhorns receivers coach Jay Norvell, who left Texas in February for the same position with the Sun Devils.
Echols, a career back-up from DeSoto, played in six games in 2015 with three tackles. His hope for increased playing time was dashed with the arrival of freshmen corners Davante Davis and Holton Hill.
Okayyyy… Take 2 lol: Officially an Arizona State Sun Devil!! #ForksUp
