Texas ranked No. 5* in Big 12 football power poll

Does the Big 12 have a top team right now?

It’s certainly hard to pick one. Texas was No. 1 in the Austin American-Statesman’s Big 12 power poll until its 50-43 loss at California early Sunday morning.

Now things look a bit strange. After surveying the sordid Big 12 scene, we just didn’t have the courage of our convictions to put anybody on top of this week’s power rankings.


Here’s where Texas sits, with the caveat of there being no No. 1:
