Will Muschamp: Texas-Texas A&M ‘ought to be played every year’

Texas A&M plays at South Carolina this weekend, meaning the Aggies will be facing former Texas defensive coordinator and first-year Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp.

Muschamp was asked about the rivalry he used to coach in, and here’s what he had to say:

Aggies fans weren’t exactly thrilled to see the connection brought up.

Muschamp coached at Texas from 2008-10, during which time the Longhorns went 2-1 against Texas A&M. As a head coach, Muschamp is 1-0 against the Aggies — a 20-17 win when he was at Florida in 2012.
