OU’s Dede Westbrook earns Big 12 weekly honors for Texas game

Oklahoma receiver Dede Westbrook, who enjoyed a record-setting performance against Texas, was named Monday as Big 12 offensive player of the week.
Westbrook caught 10 passes for a school-record 232 yards in his team’s 45-40 victory over the Longhorns. And he amassed those yards in the first three quarters of action.
TCU defensive end Josh Carraway earned defensive player of the week honors with his performance against Kansas.
Kansas State’s Byron Pringle was named special teams player of the week while Wildcat D.J. Reed was the best newcomer.
