Marvin Wilson, top recruit in Texas, talks Charlie Strong ahead of visit this weekend

Marvin Wilson, the top recruit in the state of Texas, is scheduled to make his official visit to Austin this weekend.

The 5-star defensive tackle and No. 3 recruit in the nation according to 247Sports.com spoke with the recruiting website leading up to his visit. You can read the full story here, but it requires a subscription.

In the interview, Wilson discussed his feelings on Longhorns coach Charlie Strong and the rumors that have been swirling about his job security. Here’s a short snippet from the article:

When asked if he would even still consider Texas if a Strong firing did occur, Wilson gave a brief but telling answer.

“Oh no, not even,” he said.

Wilson is a 6-foot-4, 329-pound defensive tackle from Bellaire Episcopal near Houston. Texas and LSU are considered the favorites to land him, but he also visited Texas A&M last week when it played Tennessee.
