Way, whose wife Laurie passed away from cancer the night after the Oklahoma game, thanked Texas fans for their support.

Way missed the Red River Rivalry game to be at his wife’s bedside, and tweeted early Sunday morning that she had passed. His voice has been a staple of Texas radio broadcasts since 1992, and has been the team’s play-by-play voice since 2001.
