Texas women count down to their season-opener in style

Posted October 15th, 2016

The Texas women’s basketball team will open its 2016-17 basketball season on Nov. 14 with a road game at Stanford. Yesterday, the Longhorns β€” with an assist from gospel singer Kirk Franklin β€” found a fun way to commemorate that month-long countdown.

The Longhorns, who will host Tarleton State in an exhibition match on Nov. 6, showed off some impressive dance moves in a video that sophomore forward Jordan Hosey posted on her Twitter account. This was not the first time that the Longhorns took to the dance floor this month.

Will Texas still be dancing when Dallas hosts the Women’s Final Four, though? This week, the Longhorns were ranked second in the Big 12’s preseason poll.
