Former Texas standout Jonathan Holmes has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona Lassa according to the team’s website.
Holmes, from San Antonio, played on the Memphis Grizzlies’ NBA Summer League team and spent parts of the NBA preseason with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The forward’s overseas contract is reported to be for two months with an option to continue for the whole season.
Holmes, 23, played for the Canton Charge of the NBA Developmental League last season. He played six games for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015-16, averaging 9.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in six games.
Holmes graduated in 2015 after averaging 9.2 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Longhorns.
