Texas fans react following Longhorns’ win over Texas Tech
Posted November 5th, 2016
Texas earned its first road win of the season Saturday, beating Texas Tech 45-37 at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.
The Longhorns endured plenty to get there, including a wild first-half touchdown by the Red Raiders following a fumble on the goal line, a few masterful throws by Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes III and some questionable play calling near the end.
But in the end, Longhorns running back D’Onta Foreman’s epic performance and a solid showing by the defense were enough to tame the Red Raiders.
Texas fans have to be happy about that, and they were. Here’s what some of them were saying across social media.
What an exciting end to @Longhorn_FB defeat of TTU 45-37. Congratulations Coach Strong and team. Light the Tower! #HookEm

Longhorns won. A&M lost. And Baylor is getting their butts handed to them by TCU. What a great day for college football 🏈😂 #HookEm
