With his sack of West Virginia quarterback Skyler Howard during the first quarter, Texas linebacker Malcolm Roach moved into a tie for 10th in program history for sacks as a freshman.

Roach now has three sacks on the season. The record, held by Tim Campbell (1975), is 13. It’s not unreasonable to think Roach could jump into the top five before season’s end.
