Texas will have to wait for its first commitment from the Class of 2018.
Jordan Moore, a 4-star safety from Yoakum (Texas) High School, committed to Texas A&M on Saturday. He chose the Aggies over Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Michigan.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect is listed as a safety, but he’s been much more than that for Yoakum, which lost to Mineola in the Class 3A-Division I championship last weekend. As a running back, Moore piled up more than 500 yards both rushing and receiving during his junior season. He also returns kicks.
As a safety, Moore is ranked No. 14 in the Class of 2018. He is ranked No. 162 overall and No. 20 in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

Moore also has a twin brother, Joshua Moore, who is highly recruited. Joshua Moore is a 5-star wide receiver in the 2018 class, ranked No. 60 overall and No. 7 in Texas. He has yet to announce his commitment.
