Another one to Texas: San Antonio Reagan lineman flips to Longhorns

San Antonio Reagan offensive tackle Derek Kerstetter continued a late December flood of Texas recruiting wins when he flipped his commitment from Oklahoma State to Texas on Monday.

Kerstetter announced his commitment switch via Twitter, saying “The opportunity to represent the state of Texas and play close to my friends and family was something I couldn’t pass up!”

Kerstetter is a 6-foot-5, 280 pound three-star offensive tackle, according to 247 Sports. Kerstetter had committed to Oklahoma State in June.

He will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl  on Jan. 7, 2017.

He follows running back Toneil Carter, running back Daniel Young and tight end Cade Brewer as players who were committed to other programs but switched to Texas with in the last week.
