About the Golden Flashes: Coach Rob Senderoff’s club went all the way to Corvallis, Oregon, for a pre-Christmas game against Oregon State. The Flashes trailed by one at halftime, but the Beavers went on an 18-0 run to secure a 19-point win. … Kent State is the No. 1 offensive rebounding team in Division I, grabbing 17.8 boards per game. That means lots of second chances. Perhaps most ominous for Texas is that West Virginia (16.3) and Oklahoma State (16.1) rank second and fourth, respectively. … F Jimmy Hall is a do-it-all machine. He’s averaging a double-double and has almost three assists per game. … C Adonis De La Rosa is no slouch defensively. He drew 13 charges in the first 11 games this season.
