Brenham linebacker Marqez Bimage commits to Texas

Tom Herman secured the commitment from a familiar player Friday afternoon when Brenham linebacker Marqez Bimage officially committed to Texas. He was a Texas lean as soon as Herman took the job in Austin. Bimage de-committed from Houston quickly after and was awarded an offer from the Longhorns.

The 6-foot-3, 233-pound inside linebacker is a three-star linebacker who held offers from numerous other Big 12 schools. Bimage is a big, physical linebacker who built a reputation in high school on production. He runs well for his size, but is best suited to remain inside the box.
Bimage becomes the 13th member of Texas’ 2017 recruiting class and the first linebacker commitment of the cycle.
